They did some big changes with the framework/UI at some point, was buggy as fuck, and still is shit.
No idea why someone thought that would be a good idea, worked completely fine before.

Why am I not allowed to claim that? This is my consistent position

I've stopped tying myself to services or products and instead have been learning to do everything myself because I know every company will fail eventually, none of them will last even a short amount of time that makes it worth it to even pay attention to their existence. Why should I care if Facebook or Myspace stops working tonight? It would be a good thing. We should be pushing technology forward at every chance and trying to break things on purpose and make them unprofitable to create a competitive incentive to create technology that can produce profit without expensive overhead server costs ex. ISS forum software
People need to stop relying on "big box" software licensing models and big ass servers like it's 2005. This is why nobody will ever be able to compete with YouTube because nobody can visualize any other way to share videos.

I predict most "third party" video hosting like dailymotion will be gone within 5 years

I have a screenshot somewhere, on a tc call and one of them had a rifle and was wearing a jigsaw mask.

Memories are meaningless. Nobody even bothered to rip the codebase of TC and upload it on github open source because it's worthless dog water not even worth the 5 minutes to copy it to a flash drive. The storage space will be used for something better and this is a beautiful thing, more beautiful than any shard of the past.

I just know that they could give out all the code and technology for free if they actually cared about live video sharing technology. But they clearly only ever cared about the money and I think that's why these ventures fail. When I see a site without any public documentation for their code I lose all interest because I know they are clutching onto their technology and will only sell it to the highest bidder.

I just have no interest in something like that. I think this is why skype failed and why TC failed and why nothing will ever replace it. There is no reason we shouldn't be able to have the same capability with a structure more similar to IRC, the technology exists but it's not worth it for anyone to develop because paid solutions like Zoom already exist.

back in 2013/2014 I had a lot of fun in TC. What years did you go into TC?

What years did you go into TC? I was in there frequently 2013-2015 but started coming in a lot less in 2016. That's when I relapsed with hard drugs so I wasn't going in as much. It's better with alcohol.

Playing music, getting drunk with friends from across the US, I truly enjoyed it. I do agree with you that 2016 is when it started to fade out, I think we all just got too old for it or had other things going on in our lives.

YT was removed for quite a while, something about licensing.

Heard, it could be a few things, could be something about 3rd party agreements, legal shit, TC did get acquired at some point.

Yeah, big shift, although the original audience has gotten older, there isnt many younger folks.
Most folks go for Discord, Snapchat, w/e.
