yao, types the one who completely missed the metaphor when ah sed 'decentralize your existence' i dont mean the complete degradation and disintegration of his body.

it meant existing in a decentralized society under decentralized rules and laws of the land and paying decentralized taxes to a decentralized tax authority under the protection of a decentralized police forces.

    jesus carlos and jose.

    That's one definition...of many.

If you decentralize something it means you don't have it all in one place...one hub...that could be a myriad of things.

If I decentralize my underwear collection from 1 drawer to 14 plastic storage tubs 4 in my home, 6 at work and 4 more in a storage facility then I've decentralized my underwear collection.

    Stay in school kid.

or you still have them all in one place under different ownership and control.

No, in that instance only the ownership has been decentralized, not the underpant collection itself.

    decentralized is decentralized
  6. Originally posted by Charles Ex Machina decentralized is decentralized

Then it's not applicable as the collection is still intact in a centralized location.

A Message from Internet Archive Founder, Brewster Kahle

    Dear Patron,

For more than two and a half decades, we have collected, preserved, and shared our digital cultural artifacts. Thanks to the generosity of our patrons, the Internet Archive has grown from a small preservation project into a vast library that serves millions of people each year. Our work has impacted the lives of so many of our users who value free and open access to information.

From the beginning, it was important for the Internet Archive to be a nonprofit, because it was working for the people. Its motives had to be transparent; it had to last a long time. That's why we don't charge for access, sell user data, or run ads, even while we offer free resources to citizens everywhere. We rely on the generosity of individuals like you to pay for servers, staff, and preservation projects.

If you can't imagine a future without the Internet Archive, please consider supporting our work. We promise to put your donation to good use

as we continue to store over 99 petabytes of data, including 625 billion webpages, 38 million texts, and 14 million audio recordings.

Brewster Kahle, Founder & Digital Librarian

If you find our site useful, please chip in! Your support will help us build the web we deserve.

    Thank you for joining me.

if they rewrite it then people would know. so they just destroy history and "write history"

you're allowing people to know something was rewritten and they will wonder why. you leave no trace. you kill every opposition and just WRITE HISTORY
