Who will you be voting for in this election and why>
Are you just voting for the lesser of 2 evils? Or maybe you think one of the presidents actually will help to further your own interests?
If you aren't voting at all, why not?
I will go first:
I am not voting in this presidential election. First and foremost, I simply am just not interested in voting at all. If that isn't enough to satisfy the boomers reading this, here are some other reasons as to why I am not voting.
1: My vote is insignificant. I am one of 300+ million people in the country, and if I voted I would be 1 in 100 million plus votes. Democracy is great until the political power is split among so many people that my vote does nothing.
Now, some people might say to this "You should vote to encourage people around you to vote". And to this ridiculous assertion I say, how narcissistic do you have to be to think that your casting a vote would do anything to encourage others to do the same?
People may also say to this reason, which is a complete shift from discussing national elections, "you can still vote in local elections, then your vote actually matters!" and I say to this, not only to reasons 2 and 3 apply to this scenario as well, but so does reason 1. In my hometown, there are 150000 people. Let's just assume that 30000 people vote in local elections, it is probably actually more. I am 0.00333% of the votes in the election. Still insignificant.
2: I do not support any of the candidates. This is about as straightforward as it gets, folks.
Some people might say to this, "Even if you do not support a candidate, you have an obligation to vote, so you should just vote for the lesser of 2 evils". To this I say that (putting aside the assumption that I have a duty to vote), if I am voting for the lesser of 2 evils I am still voting for evil.
Even if I did have an obligation to vote, if I voted for a candidate that won the election and went on to cause irreparable damage to the nation, I would have caused the nation harm by proxy of my voting in this candidate. By refraining from voting, this scenario is impossible. The same applies for an election in which I vote for the lesser of 2 evils.
3: I do not know enough about domestic politics to vote.
Some people may say to this that, voting in elections will help you to increase your understanding of politics, allowing you to make informed decisions in the future.
This argument is obviously bullshit, you do not learn anything about politics by writing 'ronald dump' on a slip of paper and putting it in a box before going home and drinking steel reserve, you learn about politics by reading literature and analyzing current events.

Are you voting for Harris?
If so, why?
If you are voting for Harris, why not Trump, Oliver, or Stein?
I can't vote I'm in N.Ireland. Trump can't be president again, he's senile and tried to misuse nukes during his last presidency, no one will keep him in check this time. He wants to abaondon NATO and leave European countries at the mercy of Russia. Christian extremists are using him to create a theocracy. He will have liberals killed, there will be civil war. Elon Musk is using him to create a serfdom, look up technofeudalism and Musk's comments that only high status males should be allowed to vote, he's talking about other billionaires. Voting for Kamala is the best way to make sure he doesn't win.

here? I usually just vote for all the minority 'fringe' parties regardless of 'side' just to split the vote as much as possible
I have a dentist check-up on the day of the results, I don't want to know what they are until after the appointment because I will be in serial killer mode if Trump wins.

Voting for fringe parties doesn't split a vote.
getting a guy named 'meow meow' a seat in the senate means one of the two major parties loses a seat, and they have to consider his insane nonsense when they try to pass laws.
minority parties also have conditions to their preferences; the more votes they get (even if they can't win anything) the more demands they can get away with

Voting for someone you deem as being insane and nonsensical is a good reason why you shouldn't vote.

Why are you voting for her? Do you have any specific policies in mind and, if you live in the USA, how would they benefit you? Even if you don't live in the US, how might her being president effect you?
