Reminds me of a childrens birthday party I attended as a child of about 9yrs old.
The kids father made a party game up for us to play and called it "hide the sausage". We'd all have to wait outside the house and he'd hide a frankfurter somewhere in the house and then us kids (About 20 of us) would have to go find it.
I know I won one round when I found it in a wall decoration that was like a pan with a lid and long handle (I think it was something to do with shoveling coal or some shit out of a fireplace but it was just a brass ornamental one).
Anyway...it was YEARS later that the "Hide the sausage" game took on extra meaning and him playing it with us kids took on dark overtones...or he just had a sick sense of humor.
