Around here you can pull up to any smoke shop and get a pack of twenty 250 mg edibles (5000mg), ten 1 gram preolls, and a 7 gram cart for like 100-200$. It's all altnoids though, and even if you have been an occasional smoker for a while you could still tell the difference.
Alt noids are 110% shittier than regular weed. They either get you buzzed or give you a strong high that just isn't as good as smoking legit weed.
If you can get alt noid edibles those can be pretty solid, but they are only really worth it in a legal state if legal grass is expensive where you are.
Here are some dispensary prices in my area, front page shit:
1: 8th of Cresco™ Bitter Orange bud is 55.50$
2: 1 Gram Cresco™ Circus Ring liquid Live Resin Cartridge is 85$
3: 1 Gram London Pound Mints Live Budder is 55.50$

If you smoke daily it is best to just stick with edibles and maybe concentrates, I'll make a thread about it. -

Yes there are plenty of dispos around here, but weed is so damn expensive there is no point going to a dispo if you are getting edibles. Everything else at dispos is worth it if you don't smoke a lot. -

Nigga what? You can still get ounces for under $140 if you look hard enough, and that’s at dispensaries. The street market is still live and well. And Michigan is like a 2 hour drive, where you can get ounces of high mids for under $100 after tax.
And if “edibles aren’t worth it” then they’re not the “best way to consume” -

First thing that pops up at the dispo closest to me is 200$ OZ of Blueberry Pancakes Flower by Interstate 420.
There is a smokeshop around here where a guy sells homegrown for like 120$ an OZ but it's mid at best. -

And you have to keep in mind it wasn’t long ago that zips of mids were $180+ at wholesale levels. $20G used to be the norm in a lot of places. Now it’s closer to $8 even in the most expensive states. -

20$/G was normal for you? 10$/G was normal for me here, it was mid but that's all that was available to a bunch of 14 year old kids at the time. Weed was still illegal too. -

I never paid that much, but I was starting to smoke at a time where $10/g was the new normal especially for suburban kids. Keep in mind that $10 also had a lot more spending power 8 years ago.

My argument isn’t that it’s cheap or “I can get X for $Y and that makes my cock bigger than yours!”
Simply that sub $10/g is still achievable even in the more expensive states, and if you can’t cough up $80 for a good quarter, especially with how infrequent of a smoker you are, then you’re probably better off just not smoking, or getting it somewhere that’s not an IL dispensary
