Roughly 22% of the global ocean surface experienced at least one severe to extreme marine heat wave event in 2023, according to the report. Polar ocean warming is especially pronounced; 2023 had the least polar sea ice ever recorded. Each decade of the last nearly 50 years saw a 4% loss of Arctic sea ice as surface water temperature increased.
The findings mirror the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report on the ocean and cryosphere, which also shows that global warming caused by greenhouse gas emissions has resulted in marine heat waves. -

To most people, a drop in pressure of 50 millibars means nothing; a weatherman understands, as Morales said mid-broadcast, that “this is just horrific.” Florida is still cleaning up from Helene; this storm is spinning much faster, and it’s more compact and organized. -

Well, of course it "mirrors", because they all get their billions in funding from the same source: the US Government. And if they "get it wrong", they lose their funding. We're dealing with heavily biased, non-independent actors here, and they're all reading from the same script. Basically, what they want is you to just go ahead and take their word for their "findings", based on "credibility" they don't actually have. Government lackeys aren't real scientists, they're political spin doctors for profit. -
