People who haven't studied history can't see it repeating itself, but it can't just be that. I feel like the belief that political solutions, or that the state, with democratic input will "solve" things is the real problem. Things that represent either hard-line positions, or no tenable position at all with regard to reality seemingly being the backdrop of insane non-sequitur post-truth bullshit we're seeing.
