I have never "played minecraft with a child" I play on the most popular server in the world, in an MMORPG gamemode with 20,000 active players.
They have an extremely active forum and community and actually you are all losers because any children playing on that server would destroy you in any competitive game mode, because you are all trash at video games unlike me who is respected by the youngers for actually being able to beat them at video games

There's a difference between playing the same game that children play, and playing with children/lying about your age/changing your speech patterns to fit in... a big difference actually. Does scrawny the pedo really not know this?!?!?! -

I was pretty social with a lot of friends ingame at the time. This was before friends chat or any other group ingame chat channels, so over the short handful of years I had been playing RS I had learned how to type over 90wpm regularly and it was pretty easy for me to keep up with like 6 private message conversations at a time (and I did.) Back then it was pretty uncommon to actually see what most people you were playing with online actually looked like because social media wasn't really a thing yet. MySpace was in full swing but not everybody had it like almost everybody has facebook/instagram/whatever today. As a result I'm sure I made friends with a pretty large variety of different sized, shaped and aged people. Or maybe it was just a bunch of other 12-16 year old boys I really don't know
Anyway, as a pubescent boy with a fresh batch of hormones pumping through my blood, I did what most of us did as teenagers in RuneScape back then: I sought to "buy gf"and buy gf I did
I couldn't tell you exactly how it started, and I'm going to insist that I cannot remember the exact usernames of the people in this story. What I can tell you, is that it all started in Varrock.
Once upon a time, I was killing guards at the Varrock South Gate if you read any past or future stories I write, you'll come to find I killed city guards quite often. That particular day, a couple of noobs showed up and little did I know that I had just met two of my best friends in that game that I would ever have. The first was Van. Van's name was a misspelling of the word Vanish because the original spelling was taken, and his particular choice was comical at best. I believe Van to have been a boy around my same age. The second noob was Holden. Holden had a string of semi-repeating numbers after his name, and I also assume him to have been around my same age.>! In their defense, my name ingame was not much better. It was comprised of a re-arranging of my first name combined with something from BIONICLE, even tho the full extent of my knowledge about Bionicle was 'thinking they were kind of cool in the commercials on tv'!<
To the day of our meeting I had never had an RS girlfriend, but Van and Holden did. I met their girlfriends in The Spot for RS couples: Falador Town Square follow-dancing eachother in the most expensive matching outfits they could find. Usually including some flowers in the weapon slot and a white or black beret in the head. that was definitely the style at the time
I don't remember the name of Holden's GF. I've been trying to remember for a couple of days now when I was thinking about writing this but for the life of me I just can't remember. So we're going to call her Heather. Because she had Heather vibes. But the true star of this story was Van's gf. We'll call her Money.
I became friends with Heather and Money, we added eachother to our respective friends lists and proceeded to PM for many weeks and months as I would with plenty of my friends. I'd learn Money's username was some tribute to her real life husband, and I'd ask her why she was dating somebody in RS if she was married in real life. She told me "because it's fun." I asked Money how old she was, she told me she was 24. I told her how old I was, 14 at the time I believe. give or take a year. About this time it has occurred to me the red flag that someone claiming to be a full adult woman is e-dating the self-proclaimed teenager Van. But I'm a 14-ish year old boy, - you know what dating a full grown adult woman on runescape when you're 14 means to me as a middle school boy? It means You're a Badass.
Hell yeah, I want this for myself. Money was easy to talk to and I'm pretty sure I suggested that she should break up with Van to be with me instead. I wanted gf, I wanted gf pretty bad. girls in school didn't like me, I played runescape all day! The only thing I know for sure is I was 100% trying to instigate this. Money agreed. gf acquired. As far as I know, I'm in 8th grade e-dating someone old enough to have graduated college with a bachelor's degree.
Now you might be wondering at this point, "how deep does the rs gf thing go, is it just an innocent title with nothing else behind it?"
The answer?

I couldn't tell you how long this went on for. Weeks? Months? It certainly wasn't a 1 time thing. I got to hear all about Money's problems. About how Money and her husband weren't doing well, about how Money's husband had cheated on her - but she was going to take him back. I was even angry on her behalf when I heard about it. "How dare he cheat on you" lol irony
The relationship would end not with a bang, but with a fizzle. Eventually Money logged on less and less, until she did not log on anymore. And I shrugged it off and moved on. I couldn't confirm whether Money was ever even a woman, for all I know - yeah… it could have been a 40 year old man tryna have cyber sex with underage boys. No way to tell honestly. But my gut tells me Money was probably a woman, and probably the age she claimed to be.
In closing, I don't feel like I have any trauma or anything. I'm not interested in trying to find out who this person actually was or have them be punished in any way. Reason is, I just don't really care that much. I hope you guys got a kick out of this.
