Causing power outages by throwing wires onto power lines

  1. #1
I was thinking nitrocellulose dissolved in acetone could be used to coat wires with hooks on them and thrown onto power lines so that once the nitrocellulose coating which acts as an electrical insulator is ignited, it burns away, exposing the metal and causing a short and power outage.

If a small transceiver is attached, it could be remotely ignited. Since you can induce electricity in a coil by simply having it near power lines by means of induction, the transceiver can be connected to a small 40 gauge laminated wire coil that inductively draws power from the alternating magnetic field of the power lines to power the transceivers battery or capacitor bank.

Technically, a receiver would be better since it only needs to receive rather than also transmit, but a 2$ ESP module would mean it can be activated through the internet.

the idea is you could throw these onto powerlines in hundreds of locations before any power outage happens since theyre coated. Then either ignite them all at once, or have it set up so that only specific ones ignite.

EDIT: a digital watch could also be wired to ignite it at a certain date via an alarm at specific date.

it may be wise to have a delay from the time the signal is received to the time of ignition so as to throw off investigation.

Maybe also encase the receiver with thermite so it destroys the evidence.

possibly also have an ESP module connected to a transmitter that transmits the ignition signal, which also self incinerates, so when the ESP/transmitter is activated through a disposable internet connected device, theres no real evidence as to how exactly it was activated.

I don't think you could make nitrocellulose thick enough for that, the power from HV lines will just arc through it and either ignite it or cause breakdown

would be easier to just use a drone to drop a chain

thanks, you could mix the nitrocellulose with something like golden powder or black powder to thicken it.

although when ive made nitrocellulose, it can be pretty thick when you dont add much acetone.
if its thin cause youve added too much acetone, youll need several coatings. sawdust could probably also be used, as the nitrocellulose will burn away as the binder.

sawdust absorbs moisture so may arc through if the nc doesnt soak through thoroughly. kitty litter may also work. something to weigh it down perhaps so the kitty litter or sawdust crumbles away easier once the nitrocellulose is ignited.

maybe nc coat, followed by black powder/elmers glue, then more nc.

acetone evaporates quick especially in the heat, so if it does require more than one coat, the first coat shouldnt dissolve before the second dries. also, nc/wax/nc should work, as wax is invulnerable to acetone and wont be thick enough to prevent arcing through when the nc burns away

drones are expensive, and noticeable. most security footage is not kept very long so wear a disguise and dont ignite till a few weeks later. also be sure to use shoes a different size and dress casual, nothing weird like a solid black outfit. the clothes and shoes can be had from goodwill dumpsters.

anyone else feel free to post alternative ideas, substation attacks etc.

power lines are good cause you can find a plethora of locations to access them away from any cameras, and theyre never insulated.

im not really political. although the gang stalking v2k bullshit got its volume turned way down when trump got elected.

the volume is also near non existant and comes from the direction of the nearest military base when the power goes out.

another idea, pneumatically launched adhesive/magnetic powder coated IED + something like silver acetylide deonator+receiver.

assuming the transformer is ferrous, it should stick pretty well.

maybe also a garden hose with a wire inside it, filled with nc/acetone + black powder. (or incindiary mix)

probably arc through eventually cause of so much current, but if you get a week or two out of it, thats potentially hundreds of outage locations that could be set up in a week or so.

EDIT: fuck, i just looked up the voltage of power lines. it will definitely arc through eventually, probably quickly with most materials.

hmmmmm there must be a way to do it

alright, ive figured it out. picture a V with the sides of the V being tubes that point up at angles, and theres five tubes equal distance apart. they hang off the cable from a hook on the center, coming from the bottom of the V. inside each tube is a small amount of gunpowder and a receiver + igniter. attached to the bottom of the tube is a coil of wire or small chain with a weight on one end, which is launched out of the tube as the powder ignites, pulling the wire with it, and it goes up and over the adjacent cable, with hooks on the weight, so no matter which cable it hangs from, it causes a short upon ignititon.

    simple

    i like helicopters

i stay away from riots though.

so, i just remembered that you could test this idea, the original one, by taking a vinyl coated steel cable with weights and hooks on it and throw that onto the powerlines. if it doesnt arc through immediately or within a week, the simpler version may work. think of how many you could set up with something like that. loads

a chain will melt into a string of cum as soon as it contact the wires.

better luck messing with the transformers.
