    I seriously suggest he get help but I don't think he'd ever quit thinking about that stuff. I think long term IOP might be a good start for him.     Schizophrenia is supposedly different in Europe and Asia than the US. They say over there most of the voices are neutral or even cheerful. In the US they are usually negative or harmful. It might be a culturally influenced condition. I've met plenty of functioning schizos that were good people.
