Everyone goes into trances throughout the day. People are more susceptible when they're not paying attention to what someone is saying. In heightened emotional states people will take on almost any belief.

Says the one who's been hypnotised by Trump. People can choose to resist it or not if they are aware of how hypnosis works. Some people are always on guard. I've learned to put myself under hypnosis and used to do that in class to remember things on a deeper level. It's helped me to speed-read instead of sounding out every word in my head.

There's also people with autism whom it may not work on because they can take the suggestions too literally. My listening to hypnosis all the time doesn't make me more susceptible to it, knowing how it works protects me from other people using it on me.
