A old man I genuinely thought was sweet turned out to be weirdTW: TRIGGERING CONTENT

It’s not a big deal, my story, I mean. It’s just kind of sad and once again put a bad perspective on men. So when I was going to a fair (where u sell things and stuff) there was this old man selling clothes, greeting me every morning and wishing me goodluck with my sellings. I’m not one to be usually approached so I enjoyed his kindness, greeting him back everytime and having short conversations with him each time I got back. But last Sunday, when I was going back home, we met once again, but after discussing how our day had went, he suddenly asked if I had a boyfriend or any of such. I was confused by this weird thing, but I said no because I had no reason to lie. After I said that, his eyes kinda became bigger, like an surprised yet excited expression appeared on his face. He then asked me if i’d like to have a drink with him at his place, even going as far as telling me where he stays at. (he only said somewhere close to a stadium in our city, not his exact address) As he was telling me that, I was creeped out at this point and slowly walking away from him, but he ofcourse didn’t stop and actually insisted a little. I just started walking away from him since then, and I didn’t have the courage to tell my female relatives for some reason. I was just stunned as how weird he was and how dissapointed I am because who knows what he wanted to do?? Well for sure I wouldn’t risk doing that since i’m literally 14 and he was in his 60-70s (he looks as if he’s even in his 80s tbh) so yeah. Why do some men act like this?
