"Well, the Dems/Reps say.." Shut your goddamn mouth. You really extrapolate the values and beliefs of an entire political party from the information disseminated by news anchors/politicians? Those same news anchors who have a monetary incentive to warp and bend the truth like a board of wet pine? Those politicians who do the same, only to a greater extent and in the pursuit of re-election?
When you watch the news, the politician/news anchor is not even talking to you. They are "talking" to an audience that they bend and twist their silver tongues to appeal to. Hell, what you see on the news is not even indicative of reality. It is a conglomeration of data that is flung hundreds of miles and interpreted by your TV/PC/Phone to portray politicians/news anchors talking to YOU. The videos are chopped and edited, stock images abound. The anchors and politicians only say what is likely to be broadcast and what will increase voter turnout. They are made in the best interest of the corporations. Nothing more, nothing less.
