I miss how my fingers used to look. Even though they were crooked, I remember how pale and perfect.

I loved my pale skin but I'd have to be anaemic again to achieve it.

Fr still wondering. When I was 15 turned in a creative writing story about hiring a hitman off the dark web to murder my mum. Did she ever report me or was I born in a great time?

I have aristocracy in my ancestry and have noticed American customs infecting people on the internet. It's hard to adjust and I don't want to. E.g, the "simp" slur originated in America and that tells you everything. Only Americans would rebuke you for being decent to women.

I don't belong on the internet because I'm old-fahioned but feel I should set an example.

Pros: many, communication wherever you go
Cons: none, you can turn it off if you don't want to communicate.

Have you considered not carrying a phone anymore?

I love reminiscing about the late 00's and early 10's.

If people around you have landlines you could just buy a rotary phone and carry it around with you and plug into their outside jack when you need to.

It's my main access to the Internet. Chronic fatigue means sitting at my PC is a chore.

My family sometimes think i'm dead because I will forget to charge my phone or use social media for weeks

I’d much rather live a world where cellphones didn’t exist.

I agree. My brain is not wired for phones, when I sit in a room with a bunch of people waiting for an appointment I keep my phone in my backpack and stare at the clock or read a magazine.

The data revealed that around 9 in 10 (92.3%) internet users access the internet using a mobile phone of some kind. By comparison, 65.6% use the more traditional laptop or desktop. Cellular data traffic has increased quarter-over-quarter since Q1 2017.Jul 25, 2024

Not playing on your phone when waiting is weird.

Same, except I'm not gay so don't wear a backpack and I spend the time checking out the attractive (if there are any) females in the waiting room

I stare off into space as well. I don't know where I go. People-watch and try to be present because I so rarely am.

    Play what?

*spends 5 minutes looking for my phone*

it was under the couch cushion shoved in the crack deep. Thank you for reminding me to check my phone or I would have missed that message from my mother all week .

But what games? I have games on my phone but if I have to wait an hour for an appointment or something I cannot play a game. Mobile games suck. I'm not darksydephil who can drop $400 daily on WWE champions 6 star Hogans.I can read a document on my phone like PDF or something, or posting on the forum but once I do that I just put my phone away and don't check it the entire rest of the time. I just sit there like a psychopath.

Even posting on the forum it's like eventually people stop replying and you do a front page flush and oh fuck there's still 30 minutes I will just think about giant robots or ideas for a video games or something

It just feels awkward hammering away on some phone but it's just me that feels this way. In a room of 100 people about 90% or more are on their phone and I frequently encounter people using their phones while walking and have to avoid them running into me
