2024-08-09 at 5:36 PM UTCWatching old dinner scenes from 90s early 2000s shows really mindfucks me sometimes when it's like "what are you gonna do tonight" in an era when you couldn't do online gaming, there was no social media, no smartphones and maybe you were having your friend over for dinner at your ma's and gonna go to the bowling alley and chase girls on hang out at mac donalds.
I remember those pre internet analog days when you had to go to kinkous and fax your resume and shake the manager by the neck and look them in the eye and DEMAND they hire you.
Nowadays people will be watching stuff on their phone while eating dinner it's a different world entirely it feels like in such short time -

They could still play games and text people. I wish people would go back to telling each other stories. I can't sit with my family they are all on several screens not talking to each other. Nephew will be watching adult clickbait videos on YT where they talk fast with loud voices. Love Island or the Kardashians will be loud on the TV. They are still on their phones. Idk how I'm related to them. Then they try to make me feel guilty for not sitting with them. -
