“For the rich and for right now, it's an expensive inconvenience. For the poor it's suffering. In the future the amount of wealth you have to have to merely be inconvenienced will increase until most people are suffering.”

Even without hitting the long-term 1.5-degree threshold, “we have seen the consequences of climate change, these extreme climate events," Julien said — meaning worsening floods, storms, droughts and heat waves.

cool breeze coming in through the window. we bought a portable A/C unit which is pretty sweet. blows hot air out the window but just sits on the floor aimed upwards since heat rises.

only need it for maybe 2-6 weeks out of the year which is usually Late August-October but it was an unusually hot July because July is usually when the fog rolls in thick around the bay area. the hot air inland sucks the fog into the coastal regions. its usually 35-40 degrees hotter 10-15 miles inland in the 90s and 100s most summer but here its just funky and cold. then September comes around and it's pretty sweet. sometimes super fucking hot in the 90s and 100
