Turkey's gonna do what Turkey's gonna do. Why is Turkey even in NATO, the cold war is over and Turkey is in Asia, not Europe. Nothing about Turkey screams "North Atlantic" except their friendly relations with the US.

    Who Are The Dark Angels?

The Dark Angels cybercrime group has been flagged as the number one ransomware actor to watch across the coming 12 months due to the significant risk it poses to businesses. The gang, which operates an associated data leak site appropriately called Dunghill, first appeared on the radar in May 2022. Threat intelligence specialists Cyble reported at the time that Dark Angels was a rebranding of the Babuk ransomware family. However, it was in the following year that the group launched what has become the most-reported attack in its short history. “In September 2023, automation and manufacturing company Johnson Controls was targeted in a ransomware attack where threat actors used Dark Angels ransomware to lock the company’s VMWare ESXi servers,” cybersecurity vendor SentinelOne said. The Zscaler ThreatLabz researchers said that a $51 million ransom demand was made, although it has not been confirmed if any was paid, after stealing an alleged 27 terabytes of corporate data.

The new Labour government has shelved £1.3bn of funding promised by the Conservatives for tech and Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects, the BBC has learned.

It includes £800m for the creation of an exascale supercomputer at Edinburgh University and a further £500m for AI Research Resource, which funds computing power for AI.

Both funds were unveiled less than 12 months ago.

The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) said the money was promised by the previous administration but was never allocated in its budget.

Some in the industry have criticised the government's decision.

It will also support smart contracts, allowing for programmable agreements, and decentralized applications (dApps), which will expand the network’s utility.

Bronwyn Chhay runs an ice cream cart every summer at a Calgary park. Yet she noticed in July that one of her most popular treats — Melona, a creamy Korean brand of frozen dessert bar — was proving increasingly difficult to track down.

"We hadn't been able to find them in weeks," Chhay, the owner of ice cream sandwich brand D'Served, told CBC News. "The flavours started slowly disappearing and then there were no flavours, so we were running around everywhere looking for them."

Once a delicacy found only in Asian specialty stores, Melona bars — available in a variety of flavours like honeydew, mango, pistachio, ube, coconut and strawberry — eventually became a Canadian grocery store staple and a dessert menu item at some restaurants.

Chhay realized she wasn't the only one who'd noticed the sudden disappearance of Melona bars in Canada when she made a July 17 TikTok post about them. It now has almost 225,000 views, more than 17,000 likes and hundreds of comments from users lamenting the fact they could no longer find the brand.

Where had the popular ice pops gone? On its official Instagram account, Melona Canada told a user who'd inquired about the treats that the disappearance was temporary because they were "currently experiencing shipment delays."

Good point. Turkey has an identity closer to members of the Arab league than to even Mediterranean nations in NATO.

Turkey is a remnant of bygone days, the days when Arabs ruled the western world.

Well NOT anymore now it's US, China, India and Brazil.

Officially this is outdated, far right information.

NATO have no identity besides woke multiculturalism.

They have 0 Christian identity, 0 White identity, and are viciously opposed to the idea of white children or the survival of the white race.

I didn't make those rules, they did. They hate White Christian Children. Aren't you watching the news?

And you want to support these woke political administrations/"countries" that hate us and our children?

    What are you?

Outdated Information? The religious and ethnic demographics are more in line with those of the middle east than of even southern Europe. Here's some stats:

    https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/the-ethnic-groups-of-turkey.html

72.5% of Turkey's population is Turkish, Turkish people have inhabited Anatolia for centuries. 99.8% of Turkey's population follows Islam.

NATO has an overarching "Western" identity that emphasizes enlightenment ideals, such as individuality, liberty, and rationalism.
Furthermore, I didn't say anything about NATO's identity as a whole. Rather I specified Turkey's deviations in national identity to Mediterranean NATO nations.

I never said at any point in the post you quoted what nation's I support or do not support. At the end of the day the only nation I support is the USA. Because I live here, and the nation's interests as a whole are simultaneously my interests due to my status as US citizen

Also who is this "they" you keep referencing?

The tree carver of Welland, Ont., has been caught, Niagara police say.

A 40-year-old man was arrested and charged with mischief over $5,000 for chiseling detailed faces into the trunks of seven living trees, said Const. Michael Malachowsky with the Niagara Regional Police Service.

The man was also charged on Monday for failing to comply with a bail condition in an unrelated case, Malachowsky said in an email.
The police investigation began last month after haunting faces appeared etched in trees near Welland's city hall.

While the Welland Downtown Business Improvement Area described them as "unique carving pieces" on social media, city officials said the cuts had caused irreversible damage.

The ability of the Norway and Manitoba maples and five poplar trees to transport nutrients has been disrupted, said Welland staff in a statement.

And they're now more more exposed to harmful diseases and pests.

"These [cuts] are not only detrimental to the tree but can also affect the overall tree canopy that provides shade, oxygen, and habitat for wildlife," the statement said.

The city anticipates it will need to replace the trees in a few years, which will cost taxpayers up to $8,000.
