Because Lodz is an old industrial abandoned city braldye that only recently has been starting to be idnustrialized and it is ltierlaly like 2.5 times cheaper to buy a palce in than say Warsaw. And it is known that where all the action is or downtown or near where I live and star trek hung out at and Polesie as well as Baluty which touch or ar eboth districts clsoe to downtown it is the worse type of people in terms of Lodz as a whole. Sure there are nice part sof Lodz even educated and like artistic sections, but there is no action there. no nightclubs or nothing or many bars worht going to Bradley. Warsaw is not totally different. the old town and Nowys wiat where all the aciton is has trashy people there as well but only at night and on weekends. only in praga or the drug district that one area that was really dangerous and shit till not long ago is like Lodz.
