   I bought a beta max video recorder in December but I couldn't find the appropriate ac power connector or was it dc idk. I wish I had found it but everything I read was that they are all fucked to shit by now unless you are able to find one that's leakky capacitors haven't damaged boards too bad, replace them, and replace all the rubber belts or what have you.
   Trying to charge a 35 year old battery was fun.

   they have Optic Zoom that new cameras only have cropped-in digital zooms.
   
   if you can find a nice 4k with 30 plus optical zoom under 500 bucks is pretty nice.

    but even my old one 1989 camera had 8x Optical zoom.
    Everything today is Digital zoom. it's retarded. I did buy a 4K that says it's 3x optical but I don't see any moving lens and it doesn't go from optical/digital on the menu when recording. Temu is janky about its true discriptions.
    
    a real 4K with Optical zoom is in the thousands of dollars. they still make them CamCorder style but they're 1/4th the size as the Old 480i camcorders

    I got this off of Temu for 120 bucks. I think they're like 80 bucks now but it's pretty decent in the day time, has IR night vision which is decent (you can buy an IR Floodlamp) has a hotshoe with a mini shotgun mic that enhancements out background. flimsy a bit but works good. At night it sucks. not the best night shots and very grainy but you can replace the mic with a lamp I suppose. or carry an external one.
