*stupid people who don't know how to just find them for free.
Me and a buddy tried doing this back in around 1995 before a lot of people had internet etc.
We filled a CD with C64 and ZX spectrum game images with appropriate emulators to run them then advertised them in various "free to list" computer periodicals of the time...we made exactly ZERO sales.
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this

Hah, as a kid I sold a couple CDs of n64 roms and emulators to classmates. Even got fancy with it and had an auto launch “installer” that copied files off the disk and created a shortcut. The pool of people who cared was exhausted pretty quick though
