Cast iron skillets thaw meat

    I usually use cast iron to cook on a stove because of all the stuff they say gives you cancer on nonstick pans.

    Yes try it.

    There was something my great grandmother said about a penny or something too. Idk if that's an old wives tale or if it helps more but cast iron will thaw out anything frozen pretty quick.

    The only thing is if it's shaped funny and not touching enough of it.

    bro it's just radiating heat out of it isn't it?

    THe metal touching it pulls the cool out of it and then exposes more of the area to temperature as it tries to maintain the radiative similar temperature or some shit idk

    Leaving raw meat in a pan to thaw is asking for trouble...thaw your meat in the fridge overnight and live to cook another day.
