You know who wrote oedipus? It was a father, the real complex is older males fear of being replaced by younger males. So they write this story as propaganda even though everybody knows that mothers are disgusting to sons and they never want them. Meanwhile the mothers are more than happy to have so much attention thrown at them. It's just natural to replace old people but they don't like it and some of them try to use pseudo psychology to make it look unnatural. In conclusion go kill old people and take their place as patriarch.
