I have an old car that I am trying to teach GG to drive on, but she crashed it and cracked the sump, so all the oil spilled out.
Is it OK to run it without any oil? How long will the engine last before it seizes up? It's a 1.4l diesel turbocharged (I know the turbo needs oil as well).

"30 minutes
The presence of oil and its distribution is absolutely crucial to an engines continued operation. Engines can work without oil, but the effect is so damaging they are only capable of running for less than 30 minutes until failing - and in most cases, it's a lot quicker than that."

A few minutes, it'll either lock up or sling a rod thru the block and then lock up.

Will you be selling the car now, or repair?

Shouldn't be to hard to put an oil pan on it, buy one at a junk yard. Show GG your white man skills.

Even 5 minutes would do so much damage it would need a new engine to work after that
Especially modern cars, they don't build em like they used to lol
