RIP Nintendo Emulation

  1. #1
Delete it all. Hack every ROM site and infect all Nintendo ROMS with malware, destroy the code, lose the code on purpose, throw it into the ocean, hack all nintendo emulation software, ruin it forever, make it never run on any computer ever again. Physically destroy every last physical copy of every classic nintendo game. Go into RARE COLLECTOR VIDEO GAME shoppes and set them on fire. Take rom hosting sites offlines, blow up video game museums, gas every Nintendo executive and investor. Nuke Japan again!!!

I would not cry a single tear. Fuck all these kikes, fuck copyright laws and their dumb shitty hardware. At this point we should just force them out of the market and technology sphere for good. There is already a way to use AI to convert any game code into a c++ windows .exe so at this point these companies no longer need to exist. FUCK EM ALL!!!

AND FUCK ROM PRESERVATION AND GAME PRESERVATION! BURN IT ALL!!!!

Great to see a company stand up for it's intellectual property rights.

See what I said above, there is nothing new here.

Nintendo has been actively anti emulation forever and have taken down multiple emulation sites over the years.

It's about as dumb and pointless as the record industry trying to stop distribution of MP3s/Digital music...

This is an unprecedented attack on github repositories of private code and private emulation sites that have hosted the same content for 20+ years since the 90s

no, it's actually incredibly easy and with AI will only be easier. Technology will get to a point where AI can watch clips of an old video game and recreate the code of the entire game and generate all graphics and assets

They have never "taken down a site" ever, except the most blatant copyright violations. They do not touch emulation sites except with these soft DMCA's which is entirely different than taking down a site. Every old site I used years ago is still up, just without Nintendo stuff.

    2018

Nintendo has filed a lawsuit against the operator of two websites serving ROMs of old Nintendo console video games, calling them a “brazen and mass-scale infringement of Nintendo’s intellectual property rites.” Already, one site, LoveRetro.co, has been taken offline.

ROMUniverse is, of course, just another distribution website that has fallen to Nintendo’s demands."

I'm surprised they haven't gone after Arcadepunks.com yet...but I'm sure they will, just a matter of time.

If you knew what you were talking about you'd know Nintendo as ALWAYS been VERY anti emulation...going back 30yrs...Their "war" on emulation is NOTHING NEW.

So your example of them having 30 years of anti emulation is all examples from 2018 or later?

Seems like it's a new trend to me

Not sure what 2018 and after has to do with the fact you stated they'd NEVER taken down a site ...when as demonstrated they have..multiple times.

    Old news...yes 2018 is old news, it's 6yrs ago

And again to anyone with any knowledge of their business practices knows this has always been the case with them.

So they have never actually taken down a website directly? Just what I thought. This proves their recent attacks are unprecedented as they are also taking down emulation software on github
