I just read men talk a lot about themselves when they want to impress women. I thought that was a red flag, like that man was rambling about the details of his job like he was on coke. Is it normal or is there a spectrum? I need to know bcus this was a red flag for me.

When you want to impress someone, you talk about yourself. Same thing applies with men, women, job seekers, applicants of all kinds.
Imagine going "I didn't like that job applicant, all he did was talk about himself and his achievements".
Pathologising normal human behaviour is an old, tired trick.
And I've heard of all sorts of tricks involving alcohol and drugs to do with job interviews.

I always thought they did it because they were psycho and didn't view me as a person.
...The explanation video I watched said they did it because they think women are attracted to physically attractive men so they do it to try and stand out to the women when they think they aren't attractive enough. I never thought of that but I am demisexual and don't feel attracted to strangers at all no matter how physically attractive they are, so maybe that's why I thought it was a red flag this whole time. I didn't know being demisexual could warp things like that.
I feel icky now bcus I've never felt wrong about my judgements before. But maybe the ones that did talk about themselves to me did so in a condescending tone, I can't remember.

I'll accept that they ramble about themselves to try and impress women and not be condescending, but the ones I talked with likely were condescending types and that's what I picked up on.
