2017-06-17 at 5:14 PM UTCI used to pick them up all the time from the tail or use a stick to hold their heads down. coil up a shirt or use a jacket and let them strike it first, then with the other hand smack and hold their heads down and grab right where the head meats the shaft of the body and grab it by the tail .. they only have a three foot coil strike and about a 2 feet if holding by the tail.. so hold it straight out and put them back into the bush region or find a gofer hole and let them slither inside it. Or bash it over the head and go make some soup or chili out of them. good eating.

I thought you lived in the states...
anyways I don't like snakes. When I was younger my friend and I went to this swamp area that was behind the elementry school and we were chasing rabbit through the woods and we got up to a park of one of the ponds and right by our feet were like a bunch water moccasins all slithering over each other, some kinda snake orgy.
So fucking vile, I screamed and started running the opposite way. -

its funny coz the op reminded me of when i was about 10 and went on holiday with some cousins. we were fucking about amongst some bushes and standing talking in a small circle for a few seconds when we looked down and saw a snake right in the middle of our feet. we shit ourselves and ran tho.

2017-06-17 at 5:59 PM UTCI was in South Dakota a few weeks ago with my dad, hiking through the Badlands when I heard an aggressive sounding rattle in the grass just a foot in front of me. I jumped back about 6 feet and knocked my dad on his back, lol. Then we hung around the trail for a little bit, worning other hikers.

i guess if your dad was there then that makes you the kid in this story, so that counts.

I did, it was underwhelming. Much better and not too far from Keystone, SD, is the Crazy Horse Memorial. It's not finished because the sculptors refuse to accept federal funding for the project, but they had completed the face when I saw it. When it's finally done, all of Mount Rushmore will fit inside of just its head.
This is it now:
And this is what it will look like upon completion, which is almost certainly more than fifty years away:
