I think a new one Is in the making. a remake or so.
there is another film that reminded me of the Hellraiser spike ball. it came out first. its called "Phantasm" (1979) and was a low budget Indie/college project film that was really well made.

There was a somewhat recent remake about 2 years ago. It actually wasn't bad. But nothing compares to Clive Barker's original -

Well if you get a chance, go watch Phantasm. Its got some trippy shit in it. It is low budget but not that shitty of a film. it's slow at first but starts to get a nice creep vibe to it.
another great film has a young Jennifer Connelly called Phenomena (Rebranded as Creepers)
I think it's a swiss or dutch made film. same creep vibe. weird demonic creatures. -

I haven't seen the remake but I liked almost all of the original movies even though after hellraiser 3 or so? they got really retarded

what actors and directors (and producers) lack is the dark edge. not just reading lines in character but living it. being it. method acting and timing.
all the shit they taught us. the 5 types of methods. one of the biggest we learned in class was "Socratic" (getting real deep and bringing it to life)
not just fancy catchphrase. the world is trying to recreate so much shit because I guess everything has been written already. it's been done many times over. so the best thing to do is cast better and have acting coaches on set to stir peoples moods up. troll the shit out of someone and when they get pissed off or someone starts crying, you stop them and say "THAT.. Right there..Work with that" then yell action and they start reading their lines.
the "Shirley Temple's dog died" (They told Shirley temple her dog died on set one day to get her to cry. true story FLMAO) -
