Yeah I read a lot of nazi diaries. A lot of it was racial propaganda but if you consider the makeup of the red army was young boys from villages whipped into a communist defense of the motherland fervor against the "Fritz" and how the complete breakdown of Germany was not exactly fast. It was slow 1940s war that took months and there is tons of evidence of all sorts of wild shit happening, historical documents.
I can see it, I can believe it. But when it comes to the holocaust the history starts to get a lot more blurry. Was it a death camp or a labor camp? was "Arbeit macht frei" a taunt or a workers chant? who knows
