When you're talking with someone irl and they point at something, do you first look in the direction they're pointing or do you look at their hand?
Are you comfortable with eye-contact?
Do you have sensory issues?
Are you able to do imaginative role-play?
Are you clumsy?
Do you often not get the meaning of jokes?
Are you obsessed with anything?
Have you ever thrown up from information overload or punched someone because you were overwhelmed? -

I think I'm behaviorally similar to mild autism at a superficial level, but the diagnosis (if I had one) would be something different. -

"Big words" according to him. For me its just normal three-syllable words that I would think most people would know. -

I made a habit of dumbing down my vocab because I was polite and didn't want to use words I didn't think people would know. I regret that. Dumb people make you dumber. -

I was fucking isolated in a cult by my mentally ill mother, all through elementary school onward. I don't mean that in the way that all ex-christians call it a cult. I mean it like, we were literally hiding from relatives and from the social workers.
So I have all sorts of ways that I didn't fit in with the other kids, both as a teen and as a young adult. Rather not go into too much detail and doxx myself. -
2024-05-09 at 3:06 AM UTCI'm not precisely an "atheist" in the sense that I'm 100% sure that there is no god. I'm just convinced that being a Christian, or Muslim or anything else would never make me normal, would never make life good, and not worth the trouble.
God doesn't care if I exist, so I don't care if God exists.
I used to be really motivated to read bible with my mom because I thought in practical terms that it would make her happier and she would be nice to me. But after the most recent fight I realized she will never be nice to anyone, even if she reads the whole thing another five times.
Also a 400-page book isn't gonna fix your life if it hasn't fixed you already -
