A little dies, its like, ok so they lived 5 years and died, meh whatever. But an middle age adult, its like, shit they made it that far then they died and didnt get to finish the rest of shit they had started. That seems more tragic.

it's more a judgement on people who kill kids than any sentiment to do with the children themselves for the most part

I always thought it was hilarious when one of my enemies got murdered so I guess it's all about perspective.

    Fair point.

It can obviously be argued that it's sadder for the kid because they had much more life ahead od them- at least the adult get to experience a bunch of years.

It can also be argued that life is a never ending shit show that continually gets worse and the sooner we are put out of our misery the better.

I think seeing a kid dying is pretty sad, mostly because of their 'innocence.'

Maybe that's why I'd rather see humans die than a lot of animals. I would rather watch 1000 beheadings of humans than one single beheading of a kitty bitty.

Well..chances are if a male/female has lived 30 years or more they are or have been the sole cause of quite of bit of suffering at least to one other human and have done their fair share of generally fucked u shit.

A cat on the other hand is pretty innocent like worst case they scratched someone for no reason.

if its murder then kids getting murdered is sadder coz they lack the ability to defend themselves effectively.

but you know, life is cruel.

Everyone just called me an edgelord whenever I said this before but I totally agree

I used to torture animals as a kid but one day I just changed. It was like a switch was flipped. Suddenly I felt terrible for all I had done to animals (I still do) and I began to feel more compassion for animals than humans.

I don't seek out videos of humans being tortured or anything like that but if I was tied to a chair and forced to watch either humans being tortured or animals, I would definitely pick the humans.

I know we're not alone, I remember when Melancholie der Engel first came out and most of the complaints were about the scenes involving animals, nobody seemed to give a shit about anything else

My eyes genuinely lit up when I saw that and thought about how much it would have been worth today.

I was just about to ask how bad is it that I automatically thought about how much money I could make by melting all of them down.

I think you'd make a shit ton more by not melting them and selling them as the major historic thingies that they are.

I believe I may have had a natural predisposition that naturally arose around my teenage years, a time of profound neurological development and changes.

I could be wrong, and it could be the product of an extreme lifestyle, worldview and beliefs, along with the neurological abnormalities of being @atistic. By age 13 I purposefully went into a state of self-imposed isolation and was constantly in a state of reflection on mankind, human behavior and psychology, society, the state of the world, the problems inherent to interpersonal relationships. It turned me into an unbelievably extreme misanthrope and pessimist. I also purposefully honed my mind, learned to detach myself and subdue my emotions to an extreme extent, to the point where I genuinely did not even emotionally bond with my own family and could leave them without a word, without even thinking of them for about 5 years or so before eventually succumbing to a mental breakdown, severe suicidal depression, and a host of other issues.

I created myself, I purposefully made the choice to become evil, a monster, because that was my ideal, who I wanted to become. Can't say it worked out well, I didn't have the strength, the traits needed, the past. One day I might recover enough that things will be different, or I'll learn to accept other people in my life and change.

User was banned for saying the taboo phrase "monster"!
