A hack as simple as editing the hosts file on the target machine to resolve to a different IP address can clean out your bank account and/or max your credit card. If you must use a card online, always save a fake card number and fake PIN in the "saved" data, that way they go away thinking they got it, but they get shit, then enter in the real number/PIN at the "incorrect information" prompt.

I got scammed just under the felony level of LarcenyRetailer credit card fraud is charged by the prosecutor as either a petty theft or grand theft depending on the total value of the items. As stated above, $950 or less is charges as a misdemeanor crime and more than $950 is a felony grand theft crime punishable by up to 3 years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
this fucker bought gas, fast food (in which I talked to the owner of the fast food joints who recognized the guy from hishighschool days) and then bought some electronic device.
stealing money from my BofA unemployment card. the total was just under the amount.
it then happened several other times.
Nothing was ever done about it because the local police said You live in this town, ask your local PD to file an incident report. My PD said "No this crime happened in another city and another county" (which was just 2 cities over since I live on the border).
"Everyone spread too thinly" the reality is this is all leftoid games and I'm a racist finding out the man was Black and taking notice to this because he not only committed larceny but he also committed stolen identity which THAT is a felony conviction if proven.

I can see one card this happening and then it happens again on another card or a card issued with different numbers and you go back to the same store whether its an e-commerce or in real person but not all of his credit cards all at once. sounds more internal something is happening. hint hint

Hey you dumb fuck. this happen to me 10 years ago and then another time. but guess what, the banks now have a lock on their apps. one after another implemented this. You unlock your bank card from your phone ap and then lock it back up. this is on you. if this happened 10 years ago, not all banks offered this. they all do it now and have been doing it for nearly the last 5-8 years.
try downloading the bank app and securing your card so no one can use it.
the next thing is to pay Aura or Experian or some other credit lock from opening an account in your name which is 20 dollars a month. or you can go on all three credit bureaus and put a freeze on your credit score so no one can open a credit card in your name. How do you not know this in this day and age. the credit freeze are free and you can control them yourself or hire a credit lock company to do it more simply on one app.
you need to freeze your credit scores so no one can open a false credit card in your name. and you need to download your bank's app and lock your credit card down so no one can use an existing bank card and only unlock it when you're at the store. it might seem like a hassle to do but its your money -
2024-04-09 at 8:23 PM UTCmost cards have the chip built in, sadly stores like 7-11 and gas stations don't have the modern chip readers and still read the swipe tapes (only swipe tapes)
and people have a wand device they get off the black-market which allows people to come up to your wallet and read it by bumping into you and then go "excuse me" while standing in line behind you. I had some Asian dude kept doing this and I turned around and said "look fuckhead. I know what your'e doing" and he literally walked out of the store.
they then go make a physical card of yours and use it in person or they just use the numbers. not sure how they get a hold of the 3 digit security code but perhaps its stored on the magnetic tape?? -

They have the worst customer service of any industry and will make you work and jump through hoops when they are the ones that can't protect basic customer data security procedures.
Yet if you want to be your own bank you better be ready to pony up and give them an anal swab and pay the big bucks or you are probably a terrorist. It's a scam industry plain and simple, they make 100% of their profit using jedi money tricks and straight up theft.
Count yourself lucky you are just a victim of crime this time, cancel all cards, close all accounts. Tell them you will sue them unless they fix this ASAP and threaten to stop being a customer for life and lambast them online. If they don't bend over backwards then do all that and never interact with them again. I've lost thousands of dollars to banks scamming me and nobody cares, the government encourages it.
Get out now before they decide to steal your house and car. You technically own nothing anyways, the bank owns it all, you are just renting it from the dealer and floating the credit. Most people don't own anything and are perfectly happy, klaus "anal" schwab was right all along. -
