   ok i just watch half of the video and just want to point out that rudder on a ship does not work like a rudder on a plane.
   
   on a ship, a rudder works by redirecting the thrust of fluid propelled by the propeller much like a vector thruster on a plane.
   
   without propulsion the rudder is onle a fraction of its effectiveness at maneuvering a ship/
