iMovie for professional video editing

   I never understood why people need super fancy and expensive software to make any money or professionaly edit video? iMovie even on iPad has so many features outside mnaybe a few that the desktop evrsion has anyway like adding lettering to cuts or more options in terms of breaks between video segments, why do you really need more? why dont professionals just use iMovie?

   they dont make money though as professional video editors. im tlaking about guys whoa ctually make money ediging.

   Id rather leanr to edit like commercials for video games. like gaming traielr for mobile apps and make say 200 bucks per video every couple days or so.
