In reality he got fired from teaching for fighting with his colleagues like a jerk, then pissed off some cunt judge, who locked him up for contempt of court. Basically he refused to agree not to stand outside the gates of the school where he used to work, in the rain, like an idiot. That was dumb. Maybe the dumbest Irish court decision of all time.
