Now that I know it works I'm going to try and find a serial mouse because that trackballs sucks dick and this is for gaming as much as anything. Probably will get another keyboard too eventually.
My only goal today is to get it off the floor and onto my desk.

fascinating. once you complete that goal you will be equal to me and we can post pics of our computers on desks and flex on the hoes who still keep theirs on the floor. we'll be getting all the bitches and life will be complete

About to start writing on a CF card a couple a operating systems and as many games as I can to use in my 486.
Looks like the rubber band around the usb cable melted.

I've wrote DOS to floppies and hooked up the CF card adapter to the 486.
I disconnected the old HDD in case anything fuckity happens.
You'll notice a beautifully 3D printed fake floppy drive/ CF card mount thing that was so kindly printed by Jiggaboo Johnson.

I can't get it to boot from either floppy although it tries to (I think).
Yes, I am in fact trying to install DOS using floppies and my 486 with the CF card plugged in through the IDE adapter.
I've exhausted most bios settings and have failed to get it to work.
What happens is both floppy drives take a turn going "KKNNNUURRR" and then it says "no rom"
    whatever the fuck that means.
I do know the 486 sees the CF card so now I'm back on my Windows 10 machine looking up how to set everything up on a modern machine so I can just plug it in to my 486 and no have to fuck with the floppies.
Unfortunately everything sounds complicated and I'm not sure what I am doing.
