2023-12-25 at 7:51 AM UTCIn 1961 a Disneyland like amusement park named Freedomland in the shape of the lower 48 states from San Francisco to that of NYC which themes usually took place in Old West America or Victorian had only lasted 5 years before being torn down for Co-Op city which is a Project in NYC.
Imagine a beautiful Amusement park being built just to screw investors out of millions that really was a scam to hold land for a future Free Housing for Low Income people to help the city of NY to build using money raised without telling bond holders that the park was only going to last 5 years. Many investors believed they were building a true East Coast like Disneyland (before Disneyworld was being built)
so people could have ACORN like free housing.

the original park was 80 acres but they had 150 more acres of land they were going to expand on to 220 acres until the investors found out the soon future of the amusement park was just to hold land until funds (their investments) could be raised to build Housing for Welfare. It's called Co-Op because the Housing project allows it's Welfare families to get work and then go from free or reduced rent to that of rent-to-own so they become property owners themselves.
this scam allowed the City of The Bronx NYC to raise money but many investors stated they thought they were truly investing in an amusement park and not purchasing bonds that would soon be worthless. though attempts to sue the City and it's designers the lawsuits were thrown out due to lack of evidence that they were scammed.
WHO THE FUCK JUST GIVES MONEY FOR 0 RETURN?
this is almost the same shit that happened during the 2008 scam where Obama is elected into office. he was head of ACORN in Chicago and help get Tax Payers to pay the banks on homes forfeited by the triple rating loans that people couldn't keep up. so Tax Payers money was used for vouchers so Welfare Families could live in these monster homes in states like California in places like Orange county and my own home town.

LOL the guy didn't even pass highschool and made millions getting high end Engineer jobs which he just outsourced work to do the drafts and say he did it on his own. he would hire student in college to draw them up for him with promises to hire them when they finished. sort of a intern program.
FLMAO what a dirtbag. he and other scam artist saw a way to make money by employing themselves and then taking massive severence payouts in what turned out to be 5 years but where shooting for a larger expansion of 10 with the additional 120 more acres.
