there apparently is a way to post a photo that links to your apache server will show a persons IP location who clicked on it to view. its a trick that was used to bypass facebooks security.

you make the photo in a way that someone will be curious about clicking on (making it small with click to enlarge) and boom. that brings the person to the hosts own server

I did it to my step bro in which he responded in days

I then remembered a person from years before that told me about a way to have a name link to protect your IP. I forgot the app it was called but you had to have a FTP and other shit set up to run it.

I think facebook had redesign there page format to prevent this from happening now.

but if you were stupid enough to click on a photo then you just revealed who you were.

If FTP is used to download is it used to Upload as well or is that UTP or something like that? clearly Im not a network guy
but one is for up and one is for down or one is for setting up for people to download from your server anytime they want to like a limited remote format?

I had someone try and explain old school string codes and a cheat sheet to set up a WWIV board for file exchange but we finally got DSL then Cable internet and I finally had the Internet just before 2k. our city was the last in the county to get on that list. I waited like 2 years so I was still fucking around with AOL back then and compiling multiple emails into games and other apps you could download.

how old were you when you got your first computer? what year. did you family have internet by then?

shit went from 1-100 just like that. crazy jump in technology.
