   Pfft, I've witnessed things IRL and they didn't faze me at all. I wasn't even trying to suppress an emotional reaction. It wouldn't change me at all, at most I might get over excited and giddy over it, which can be really cringy afterward.

   this... but I guess it just depends. I saw a guy shoot at a group of women a few months ago while downtown. One lady died. And one if them after being shot when the pigs came just got up and left. Weird as hell. It freaked me out at the time, but it's not a big deal now

   I would study it. Like if I saw a headless corpse I would check out what a cross section of the neck looks like for real. I considered being a military medic for a while. Would have been interesting to see some combat wounds.

   You should of went for it. I joined the army to be a medic, I tested well enough to go in that direction, but before I went to boot camp I ent up getting arrested and was in jail for 3 months.. so unfortunately nothing came of it.
   
   I know that If I was to of actually went to boot camp and stuck around that my life would definitely be a lot more prosperous than it is now. Thats one of my biggest regrets in my life is to not of been able to follow through with that because of poor decisions on my part. I actually have a legit interest in the medical field and helping people. I used to be a psyche nursing assistant when I was 18/19. and it was the best job I've ever had.

    yeah kinda of the same here, I remember the first time i saw a beheading while in highschool on the computer and it made me feel sick. Now I don't feel sick, but just sorry for how people equal shit.

    Well, if it were something that I would describe as horrific or gruesome, something truly unexpected and shocking, I would like to think that it would cause me to have an adrenaline response, a heightened sense of awareness, and I'd like to think that I would be able to retain control over myself and respond to the situation in the most appropriate way possible, but that would probably depend on a number of factors. That's a good question, good thing to actually think about now and again.
    
    Would it haunt me? Depends what you mean, depends on who is involved. I do care about people. But even if the event involved strangers, if it was truly horrific and shocking I imagine I would remember it for a long time. Things like that do tend to leave an impression, I'm sure most people have memories of past events that have left lasting impressions on them, shaped them, possibly traumatised if you want to call it that.
