I took it out of the case and was hoping to use a direct cable to see if it could run on linux. because in the past, locked WD brand hard drives would show files that were supposed to be password protected. I think I tossed the external shell but I have another one I could place it into. I tried that swapping out the case for them but it still made click sounds.

    those WD brand are rigged that if you forget passwords or Im guess in this case, Locked that they're never going to reveal shit that my older sony brand was capable of being bypassed using another OS.

    All I know is it worked with one hard drive but not another.

    I bought one of those plug into the pin cables to USB and it lit up but didn't work. didn't register the device no matter how many times or the two OS. didn't register.

    maybe it was a shitty converter because I got it from Temu

    I dont have the video in front of me now so I can't say what name the other guy used. but everyone was fucking with Kr0z for some reason and laughing. i think it was when kr0z face look like it lost a fight to Mike Tyson. all bruised up

    as in hardware breakdown?

    I thought it was being locked. like a physical key that is inserted to lock the disk from spinning or it is like a special thumbdrive that installs a software lock.

    I'v seen these from older devices but replaced out with standard USB thumbdrives doing the same shit? did they once have a smaller USB for doing this or where those things physical locking mechanisms? like pushing in a safety lever to lock it into place?
