It's a slippery slope but if parents and girls and women were legally allowed to defend themselves with bigger and better guns and learned to use them from a young age in a lax regulatory environment I think that would be a better outcome. sex laws make no sense at all and are not necessairly a slippery slope because the fact something is illegal or constantly talked about or the focus of the media makes many wqant to try it or even consider it. if it was not tlaked about or ignored then people wouoldnt even think of trying it unless they were already drawn to it (aka pedophiles in this case) and a very small subset of a population. Hence why back in the day in victorian england and london when the age of consent was 12 i bet overall society was more pleasant when it comes to sex and less 12 year olds were even raped or takena dvantage of against their will than now. because people just did not think of such things or it did not cross their minds and they never accidentally ran into such porn showing girls this age sexualized nor did they hear constant stuff from the media how girls this age are having sex and being trafficked and it didnt cross their mind to say hey damm i could never imagine maybe thwre is something to this and id like to try it too. but then again it wa slegal and they had the right to say no or consent in victorian england so they could techncially try it i imagine they just didnt want to or think of it for the most part outside some shady slums of east london where prostitution was ubiquitous. -
