there was a retired CIA agent who said exactly what I suspected (Almost jokenly at first then notice a contradiction in the months) of Daves Mother who went to work for Patrice Lumumba and removed with the aide of CIA and putting Mobutu into power. I heard this story first hand by my friends Father who was one of his body guards and Mobutu having some weird issue and everyone splitting in the 70s.
but anywho the CIA put him in power hoping to build a 6 damn project and also to get the raw materials like diamonds and shit. they feared that Patrice would sell out to the Chinese as highest bidders but then Mobutu went and did the same shit. and all hell broke lose.
turns out I was right. its exactly what this CIA "retired" guy said was happening.
I like Dave so it doesn't really matter except he might not be the funny dude you think he is. He doesn't give 2 fucks about comedy and has another agenda.
