   It really surprises me that more judges and prosecutors aren't killed at a much higher rate than they seem to be, which is apparently never as I rarely hear anything of the sort. One would think it would happen all the time.

    yeah I mean with the endless appeals processes and bureaucracy people are left with the impression that 'if I participate in the circus for long enough everything will be ok' and 'if I take matters into my own hands I'm probably double fucked', when in actuality the process IS the punishment

    Oh for sure. The fact that people can appeal has to be the number one relief for attorneys to be able to *comfort* their clients with when they know for a fact they're gonna be found guilty or get a life sentence. "It's ok Erica, I know you killed your daughter in the oven but you're a good person and we're gonna appeal this. Pay no mind to whatever they say. We're gonna get through this and get it overturned."
    
    
    All's I'm saying is I would like to hear a few more stories per year of judges being killed.
