Looking for Love
Inspired by a poem from Bill Krozby
I touched her as soon as I had her there,
But soon there were cops everywhere.
I couldn't have known she'd resist the cock she was shown,
Oh was all this really worth it to get blown?
Mary Anne cried as I told her "be still,"
"I may be your dad, but that doesn't mean I can't kill."
I knew I must hurry to hide my sin,
For our time was up as the police rushed in.
Thinking on my feet I threw open the window.
"I'm sorry sweetie, but you have to go!"
Mary Anne stood there like a deer in the headlights,
Trying to muster up enough courage to fight.
I grabbed her by the waist and hauled her to the sill,
then sent her plummeting to her death against her will.
On the ground she lay motionless with her limbs bent out of shape,
Behind me the policemen stood agape.
"What have you done?!?" roared the officer in charge,
His veins were pulsing and eyes quite large.
"The evidence is gone!" I announced with glee.
"Now by law, you must let me go free!"
The sergeant shook his head and with sorrow in his eyes,
"Sir," he murmured, "you are almost too stupid for me to despise."
Then he sighed and gave his men a knowing look.
They slowly retreated - seeing this was not to be done by the book.
A second later I stared down the barrel of his .357,
Hearing him promise to send me somewhere other than heaven.
The trigger was pulled without a pause,
And that was that - the last of dear Bill Krozby.
