I remember posting on forums on my CRT monitor, all excited and into technology. I've worked at repair shops and enjoyed working on hardware for the most part, tiny screws and interesting engineering and design that goes into our devices is pretty cool. Software can be fun but troubleshooting is a pain in the ass. Shout out to programmers special minds who can sit there and debug fucking code all day, that shit is torture.
I remember talking the latest video cards and processors with friends. Looking forward to the future of gaming and all the awesome physics that will make future games. I feel like gaming is a good example of what is being done with every sector in the world. The entire industry is like, artificially bottlenecked or cheapened on purpose for some reason. There are good examples on tiktok and other short form media comparing the physics and interactive environment of games 5-10 years ago, with the stuff currently coming out. Spoiler alert, the stuff 5-10 years ago looks better, and you can do more, more destructible environments, etc. And the funniest part, the modern games take literally 10 times the hard drive space.
At some point in the 2010's I thought "Okay, we get it, graphics pretty, but we all see gameplay is where it's at. Everything is capable of some pretty awesome graphics now, so we are about to get some sick advancements in gameplay (Such as several hundred players on a server at once with physics running smoothly and accurately)" And it was to the point where I was almost certain the software developers were in cahoots with the hardware companies, and they were more worried about working together closely to keep things mediocre long enough for "technology to advance" aka get more expensive, and force hardware upgrades if you want to play the new software.
Apple's planned obsolescence is most blatant. I used to hate them, but after spending ample time repairing their hardware and being annoyed with iTunes and iCloud, I came to enjoy their mobile device. But it feels so sloppy when I format and my 2014 macbook air seems to chug along. I mean, its pretty damn old in tech years, but making basic shit feel slow on a freshly formatted operating system, its like you can feel them and their always connected servers forcing updates that will fuck you. I remember Apple was the first platform that I ignored software updates long enough once because of low space, eventually even with like 1 gig free it was like "Okay, still don't have the space, but we're going to make this work, I'm going to magically allocate space to update". And I swear it did just that.
BUT I'm rambling, I don't know about you niggas, you niggas who've been apart of these and other simple forums, where humans come together, post, make keen observations and join together for "intelligent" discussion of various personal and theoretical and world events.
BUT, its been quite entertaining seeing "them" pretty much neuter and divide up the internet into these mainstream social portals that's JUST enough to bring us all within reach of each other, but still keep our experiences and probably the information we're fed different enough to keep us divided about particular topics.
So now, with AI and how far we've come, the world not getting better but seemingly worse, it just seems more obvious than ever. I feel like by now we should have all agreed on certain humanitarian things, and reduced overall suffering in the world. Technology and the internet as made a market out of everything, and it's hard to fathom that there are still whole vast swaths of the earth where food and water is apparently still a thing of sparsity, It's strange seeing people that can get rich and famous by literally sitting and eating food in an entertaining way.
In America there is a feeling of detachment, and everyone has some honor of looking out for themselves and their family by "gettin dat bread" but it just feels like everyone screwing each other over and hoping to get a decent item/service without getting fucked over. Feels like fighting for scraps, and being happy for those scraps just because of geographical location.
Like I'm not trying to be some moral faggot, I don't volunteer to feed the homeless myself (granted I stay poor because I don't know how much time I have left, and I value my time more than anything) but shits obvious. I feel like God put me here for a reason, and in getting more spiritual after the negative health impacts of Covid, I feel like in hindsight, everything HAS indeed happened in my life for a reason, and even if I had some severe negative health event happen tomorrow, when I would have been pissed at God before, would just accept it as what is supposed to happen. Okay I'm getting on another tangent, and I don't even remember if I made my point, but I'm not gonna proofread this shit cause then I'll probably deem it surface-level, introduction to technophiliacs and technophiles 101, and delete it.
In conclusion, I don't know how to prove it mathematically, or even grammatically, but there is a way on like a chart or something that proves some sort of evil nature, in direct correlation with life-improving technology. And it should be more blatant than it is, and more than some obscure forums should figure it out.
EDIT: All this technology and I can't edit the fucking title
