    IMF loans get repaid they might get a big upfront loan from some EU bank or whatever but those always get paid back. That's why African countries are "African countries" because they always just steal the money unlike countries in easter europe that actually repay their international loans and have high credit ratings for international investment.

    Do not make me break out the Ukraine economy charts. They can rebuild themselves perfectly fine it's just a matter of how fast you want it done and which side will pay for that either the EU or Russia. One side is going to pay to fix them either way, or at least parts of it.

    $444 billion, $68 billion exports. They aren't going to spend "trillions" to rebuild that, it won't cost that much. That would be like the cost if you nuked a major city maybe but some old soviet buildings should have been mostly blown up anyways it will probably stimulate the economy to open stuff like construction firms.     membership to the EU has nothing to do with the cost of rebuilding it. Does the EU have a department for rebuilding EU war torn countries? what's the annual budget?
