I agree and am kinda pissed he didn't give me a better way of getting ahold of him. I sent him money a few times so I know his name and could search obits but idk if anyone would pay for that for him given how estranged heseems to be from his fam/tribe

It's funny because its not a stereotype. If you ask local natives if they've ever huffed gas they reply "well when I was a kid..."
I wonder if any studies have been done on whether the cheap gas (local natives get gas cheaper than anyone else locally) affects whether native kids are huffing it

I sent him like 200 in btc BACK IN THE DAY to get his truck out of impound because he had nowhere to live but he spent it on meth to try to hit on his dealer, which is honestly pretty funny but I'm not falling for that one againThe following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

This probably isn't news to you but I don't think there ever was a truck. Also $200 in meth these days would easily last a week, it's like $20-40 a G on the street. If I went back I could find his french ass name and the town/rez he's from. I guess that means I have his personal email too which probably wouldnt make much of a difference as a point of contact. He's likely either dead, institutionalized or lost in da sauce of da skreetz. Every canadian city is full of long haired transient natives with medical problems. Hate to sound like Im dismissing his existence but its pretty easy for ppl like him to fall off the face of the civilized world. We can pray for his safe return to us -

2023-09-26 at 5:58 AM UTCHed already been institutionalized so IIRC he was tryna get on disability of some sort which is OK for some natives. He was also recieving ration checks from his reserve up to a point. IIRC he still talked to his sister sometimes but she was living further east
now that I recall I gave him some money which he used to travel to another city to get fucked up fora few days. I think he said he didn't specifically use my money to get fucked up and still had it earmarked for its intended purpose though. I think I still sent him money after that too. Not important. Guess itd be hard for him to type on a phone rn anyway, hopefully thats the biggest impediment in him reaching back to the community -

I basically think they get an unnecessarily bad rap and get unnecessarily absolved of accountability at the same time. Really like everything else there's far too much corruption going on.
