If we lived in the future and it were discovered that the cause of your pedophilia was a specific abnormality found in your brain that could be corrected with a simple procedure, would you do it?

I could imagine someone with a pathological impulse to murder people may not suffer at all, they may actually really enjoy doing it, but it's still not something that is good for other people so if it were discovered that the cause of such a person's behavior was an abnormality in their brain that could be corrected with a simple procedure, I think forcing that person to undergo this procedure would be a better solution to the problem than putting him in prison for 20 years.
I can also imagine that if the future were to turn out like that and societies views on pedophilia had not yet changed, pedophiles would probably also be forced to undergo a similar procedure to "correct" their behaviors. I think it is up to you to convince the rest of us (society) why that should not be.

I wonder why watching child porn is illegal but watching murder is legal as fuck.

I don't have to do anything. You are entitled to feel some type of way about pedophilia but that's really not my problem. You'll remember, there are already laws against this kind of thing. If people think something ought to happen to me(However unjust that may be) then they should come and get me if they can.
Protip: They can't.

Just because someone is a pedophile doesn't mean they have ever harmed a child. Pedophilia is a condition, not an action. Some pedos goes their whole life without harming anyone and living "pedo-celibate". For all we know Sophie is one of these. Why should someone who isn't harming anyone be forced to undergo anything?

Hear me out. I know you don't have to do anything. I am not judging you personally. I am just asking you as a fellow member of a community of people who were once dedicated to the the spread of information and truth through free speech and good old fashioned conversation, to defend your position and create an argument to convince society to change their minds about pedophilia. I believe that if your position is truly the correct and rational position, you should be able to make a compelling argument simply by exlaining your reasoning.
