I remember in the UK when they switched from Gallons to Litres on the petrol pumps. Half the gas stations were still in gallons and half were in Liters.
I'm still convinced that change was made because it made the price look better on the billboard...you'd drive passed one still in gallons and it would be empty and a little way down the street the one priced in litres would be full.

Almost everytime we get a thunderstorm here now they send out a tornado warning through the emergency alert system which they never used to do before even though it doesn’t seem like there’s any more severe weather than usual.
The conspiracy theorist side of me makes me want to think that they’re just putting out more of these warnings to artificially make it look there is more severe weather happening so they can blame it on climate change and make it look like it’s having more effects than it actually is.

The weather is changing to be more stormy and the only way we can stop it is by reducing our CO2 output by 15% and not using plastic straws. If we don't do that by 2025 then a billion climate refugees will flood our countries.

I think I read recently that paper straws are even worse than plastic because they're treated with the same PFAs, the particles just disperse more easily as the paper gets wet and disintegrates
