2023-08-30 at 3:28 AM UTC(altho i am salty about some of the 1.2 changes, they're really babby-fying active passives. no cost, no cast. energy pools are gonna be so stacked now. if i were less of a brainlet i'd be theorycrafting or w/e. seems like the build meta is gonna change bigly if previously costly passives have literally no cost beyond the points you put into 'em.)

It's apparently out for playtesting now? Think I read that somewhere. Not officially released. On the one hand, I'm hype for the changes to active passives because all your non-temp buffs will autocast when you start playing. Nice QOL stuff. On the other hand, they're makin' it casual af. idk *sigh*
Dev was just like "if you don't like 1.2 you're free to keep playing the old patch teehee" and then they drop an expansion announcement. I'm going to murder Zantai. -
2023-08-30 at 3:46 AM UTCwait so stuff like pneuma and blood of dreeg autocasts now? why not just convert them to regular passives then

blood of dreeg is a temp buff, no? 30 sec duration. not gonna be autocast, still part of the rotation. buffs with no duration (stuff like aura of censure or w/e) will autocast. it'll just also have no energy reserve cost. not sure if dreeg will still reserve energy. if not, oh well lol lmao. not converting them to passives because they can be nullified.
also, in playtesting, nullification now supposedly removes your autocast buffs for 5 seconds in campaign, and 3 in crucible. assuming that's relevant to you, since you're more of a sweat than me. -

that's just regular passive, from the nullification thing it sounds like they're effectively just making passive auras automatically come back on a few seconds. a lot of people complain about their hardcore characters getting wiped because they rely heavily on auras to survive, then an elite with the arcane affix turns up and dispels their auras without them realising.

lol I was trying to make a full Morgoneth build work but it sucked, so I switched to Alkamos scythe (massive boost) and I'm trying to farm his rings like a fucking masochist -

hardcore players? more like softcore am i right? ha ha. seriously though, smh. (apparently arcane affix mobs are gonna have a big glowing icon on 'em now too? just things i've heard)

boss at the end of SoT has a 2-3% chance to drop one, so have to run there from the rift then go down 5 floors and slap him around
