Is Cities Skyline a spinoff of older Maxis Sim City before EA bought them out?

Hmm. I just can't get into playing these days. I lost that spirit long ago.
when AR becomes a wide spread trend and people are out in the park playing at all ages and no one laughs at them, then Maybe I'll give it a try for cardio over game play challenge. would be less boring. I used to love to ride my bike in the hills when I was a healthier youth. but I didn't get into it as much as others around me. I wasn't always up for the challenge. these dudes would smoke fat bowls and then ride 20 miles back to another town we used to live in and cut through the hills and then all downhill from there for the most of it. just free flow down hill and catching wind the whole way down. cooling off all of that sweat you did working out to get to the top. but its both ways because the altitude was about the same on both sides of the hill line. mountain bikes replaced 10 speeds and were heavy tanks until They became lighter and stronger with fatter tires to literally off road and not worry about a flat. I brought a flat tire kit with me and nearly everyday at least one flat. i got hella good and prying the tire off, pull the inner-tube out, patching it and putting it back on. tires lasted, inner tubes had to be bought every month or so.
YEP!

I'm pissed about the next couple months. Supposed to come out in October. So next month I have to buy Starfield and the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC (hurt me again, daddy CDPR... and Bethesda... fuck I'm stupid), and the month after I have to buy Cities Skylines II? Kill me now. I'm a broke nigga this isn't fair.

That looks cool as fuck
If there isn't a mode where a giant alien thing comes down and destroys everything then I'm not interested.

I used to be such a Bethesda fanboy that TES games were like the only games I actually paid money for as a broke ass teenager. Now I’m not even going to bother pirating starfield until it’s got a few months of non-shill reviews. Sad times.

Lol, I used to spend hours in SC4 wrecking shit with comets. I know the world has sucked the life and joy out of me because I’m now more interested in being a middling bureaucrat and organizing effective city bus lines than raining fire and fury down from the heavens.

If CDPR had done the same with Cyberpunk 2077, it would have gone down in history as one of the greatest games of all time. On god. Bethesda's philosophy is giving you a sandbox with a bunch of broken and fucked up sand castles in it and the buckets they used to make those buggy retard castles. CDPR's gravest mistake was releasing a broken piece of shit - a sandbox full of retard castles - and not leaving us sufficient tools to make something truly amazing in the space/setting they created for us.

So has anyone played SC2 yet? I'm in the mood for the urban planning autism but IDK if I should pick up 2 or just get some more DLC for 1

I have not. I heard a lot of good about it though, the road features are SICK
I think you would probably get more value out of a $79.99 SC2 than buying SC1 with all the DLC for cheaper, but I can't say for sure. That's my initial impression.

stuff like university campuses and in depth park building seems to be already in SC2, they have a lot of stuff from the DLCs of the first games, maybe not everything but I think a fair amount.

Not buying Cities: Skylines 2 until they add disasters again. If I can't drop meteors on my town it's not a city builder.

Disasters being a DLC is the most hebrew thing I can think of. Gotta make a buck though
